Skating

Yes, we took the girls skating. Riley always talks about skating and I am not sure why, so when the church announced that we were having a family skate night we decided to go. Riley was excited about going, but once she got the skates on it was not so much fun. She would barely stand. The wheels were tightened so they would not freely roll, but not so tight that she could not roll at all. She walked on the skates some on the carpet, but that was it. She would not get out on the floor. Josey on the other hand was really into watching everyone on the floor. I turned Riley's skates in for the fisher price kind that you put over their shoes. Josey loved it. She even got out on the floor with Mrs. Tammy. Over all it was a fun night. Riley and Joey ended up playing a few video games. Maybe if we go every once in a while she will warm up to the idea.

So, do we say Josey is the risk taking child? They both are so cute. What a fun night. It is ok Riley, skating can be a little scary.

Hey Emily! Your girls look so sweet. I think Ethan would also be a little unsure about skating. I got to see your Dad Sunday morning at church and it was nice to catch up with him a little bit. Hope you guys have a great week!

That is hilarious. I love Joey's face with Riley..."Here we go again." Poor Riley, always so excited, and then it is not what it is cracked up to be. Reminds me of her wanting to see the snakes at the zoo. I am a mean aunt, even after she said she didn't want to, I forced her to anyway...and she liked it!

Lesley, that is the exact same thing that I thought when I looked at it....men with daughters have to have some MAJOR patience!

I think skating each week would be a fun family thing. Y'all drive very carefully this holiday week-end. Have a good time at CBH.
Love,
Dad and Carolyn

P.S. We need to make a time to come up and see the kids before June 15.
