Goodbye Fish

Five years ago, we got a 55 gallon aquarium and yesterday we decided to say goodbye to our fish. With two children the fish were being neglected. We just did not have time to take good care of the aquarium anymore. If any of you have been to our house recently, you know that we had a really BIG fish. He had pretty much out grown the aquarium and it was time for him to move on. We decided that the best thing to do would be to let the fish go in the river. We loaded up the fish and the girls and headed to the river. Riley was excited and Josey of course was just along for the ride. When we got to the river we had to let the fish get accustomed to the water for a awhile before we let them go, so we were there for at least 30 minutes. The girls played in the water a bit. It was freezing cold, but Josey had a blast. It was a good ending to our fish era.

You know I love the last picture of the back of Riley probably watching the fish and Josey is really checking out the water and the picture of Josey looking in the bag. I can just see her signing Fish.

bread starter is that watery mixture of stuff that you use to make homemade bread. You use about a cup or so of that and some flour and other ingredients to make yummy bread. But, you have to "feed" it every week with instant potato, sugar and some other stuff and if you forgot too often it can go bad.It has the active yeast in it.

And that is why I buy bread at the store. We do make our pizza dough from scratch though...I don't know if there is such a thing as pizza dough starter.
