Potty
Monday morning Josey signed potty to me. So I took her to the potty. Of course I did not have the little training potty out because there was no need. She was not sure about the big potty so I took her off. I went to find the little potty and clean it up and put it together and by that time she had already gone. I was very impressed that she is beginning to put this all together. Well, sitting on the little potty is so much fun she wants to do it all of the time. I take her if she signs it to me, but nothing has happened. This morning when she got out of bed she signed that she needed a new diaper and potty. So I took her and she sat there then she signed all done, but I did not think anything of it. I got her up and started putting her diaper on and she kept going back to the potty and opening the lid like LOOK. So I looked and she had tee-teed in the potty. It was an exciting mom moment. Who knows if she will stay interested in the potty, but I just thought I would share since I needed to update the blog.

Sounds like she is way more interested in the potty than Riley ever was at Josey's age! That's awesome that she can sign all that stuff.
Actually, Riley was pooping in the potty everytime at 18 months. She just wanted to do it one day; it is the other she did not care about. Who knows what might come of this with Josey.
this is early so that's really good that she's interested. Maybe it helps that big sister uses the potty. Way to go Josey!!!
Can you send a little of the potty interest our way?
Way to go Josey. I am sure that Riley will sit and read to her or tell her stories. Erin, I am sorry but it is a little harder for a big brother to teach his sister. Hang in there it will happen.
Yes Emily, that is what I remember you saying about Riley...she didn't care at all about having a wet diaper, because she was more interested in playing than stopping to go potty. I guess a dirty diaper is a different story, and not much fun.
Sorry Erin, I really have not done anything. I wish I could offer some advice or help, but I don't have any!
I do have to add Josey has gone potty twice today! Yippee Riley read her a book the other day. It was cute. Now going potty is a big ordeal because everybody has to go!
And Riley has to hear a story so that makes it even longer.
Barbara, I think you misunderstood. It's the BIG BROTHER who won't use the potty. Refuses. Oh, well, like they say, he won't go to kindergarten in diapers. Or will he?
