What a busy weekend

The girls and I left on Wednesday to make the five hour drive to Tyler, Tx. The drive was actually the best since having children. We spent all day Thursday with my dad going to the Discovery Place ( I can't remember the real name) and then we went to the East Texas State Fair. The fair here is stinky. Riley thought the fair in Tyler was stinky too. The cows and pigs anyway. She liked the rides and the food though. She had a blast at the discovery place once she got warmed up. Her little imagination ran wild. It was great.

On Friday we got up and drove to see Shawn, Emma, Elle and the newest addition to the family, AVA! Riley and Elle had so much fun playing together. It is fun to watch. We only wished they lived closer so the girls could play more often. Riley fell in love with a pair of play shoes that Elle had so Gramme had to buy her a pair.

On Saturday our plans got a little rained on so we played hard at Gramme's house. Riley of course had her new shoes. She calls them her church shoes. She would not wear any other shoes to church on Sunday so I just let it go and she wore her pink Barbie shoes.

We had a great weekend, but we are glad to be home. Now, Joey is headed out of town for work. We will miss him since we just got home, but maybe he will not be gone too long.
