This has been in the works for a while, meaning Joey and I have been talking about doing this and on Saturday we just decided to do it. We raised Riley's bed up 2 feet. She says that she has a top bunk now and she loves it. Joey built stairs up to her bed and under the stairs is a cubby. She has a window which she really likes. The other day she went under the stairs and read for about thirty minutes. (what a blessing!) We are so glad that she likes her new castle bed (we had to call it that so she would get excited about it). I made curtains, but they are sheer so I can see what is happening in the castle.

That bed rocks! That is any kids absolute dream come true. I love the fact that you can go under the stairs and really have a little cozy place to be all by yourself. Great job and wonderful idea....I may steal it eventually....of course my stairs wouldn't be nearly as cool :)
That is a cool bed. Way to go. Emma you can have cool stairs if you are really nice to a brother-in-law. Something to think about. :) Riley, Gramme loves your new castle. Enjoy.
