toothpick compared to the splinterOkay, so Joey got a pretty big splinter yesterday. It was so bad that he had to stop work and come home. If you remember he did not even do that when he needed stitches in his leg from the chisel. Anyway, when he tried to pull the splinter out yesterday it broke. He was unable to get the rest out so we actually had to call the Dr. They said that they would work him in. They cut his hand and tried to get it out, but the Dr could not get it. He told Joey that it would have to work its way out. Then Joey moved his thumb and it popped up a little bit and the doctor was able to finally get it. He did not stitch it because it was so deep that it has to heal from the inside out. Thankfully he is doing okay, and his hand is just sore. Thank you for working so hard Joey!

Ouch! Sorry about that Joey. Which hurt worse, the chisel or the splinter?

How's your injury? That looks like a mesquite thorn and my mom always said they were real painful and likely to get infected. Our ranch is all-over mesquite, so we had frequent flat tires and one time she had a thorn go through her shoe and puncture her foot. I hope yours heals fast.
